Only a few days left, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released. Right on October 26, this sequel to Red Dead Redemption will accompany gamers' days. The Red Dead Redemption series is a cowboy or western-themed game set in America in the late 1890s to early 1910s. Yep, that era was indeed the heyday of cowboys in America.

While waiting for Red Dead Redemption 2 to be released, you can fill your time by playing other cowboy-themed games. Apart from Red Dead Redemption, there are several other cowboy-themed games that are no less cool, you know.

1. Red Dead Revolver

Long before the success of Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar Games first started the Red Dead franchise by releasing Red Dead Revolver in May 2004. The game was originally developed by Angel Studios under Capcom funding. However, in 2002, parent company Rockstar Games acquired Angel Studios and changed its name to Rockstar San Diego. The game developed by Ostrich Banditos was released on April 17, 2015 on Steam. Westerado: Double Barreled tells the story of the protagonist's family who is killed by a mysterious criminal. Therefore, the protagonist goes on a journey to find his killer and seek revenge.

Even though it has simple graphics, Westerado: Double Barreled has a gameplay that is not as simple as the graphics. As they hunt down the killer, players can create new possibilities and stories. 3. Darkwatch

This game made by High Moon Studios was first released in 2005 for PS 2 and Xbox. Unlike most cowboy-themed games, Darkwatch presents a combination of western, horror, and steampunk genres. This game tells the story of Jericho Cross, a criminal in 19th century America who turns into a vampire.

If you've played Halo: Combat Evolved, Darkwatch's gameplay will remind you of the game. Even though it is set in the 19th century, you will find various weapons with steampunk designs. 4. Red Steel 2

This cowboy-themed game was developed by an indie developer based in Sweden, called Horberg Productions. This game was first released on Android in April 2012.
